The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is a Ministry of Government of India set up on 9 November 2014 to coordinate all skill development efforts across the country. Industrial training, apprenticeship and other skill development responsibilities were transferred from the Ministry of Labour and Employment to this newly-made Ministry on 16 April 2015. It aims to remove the disconnect between demand and supply of skilled manpower, to build the new skills and innovative thinking not only for existing jobs but also for jobs that are to be created.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Make in India initiative on September 25, 2014, with the primary goal of making India a global manufacturing hub, by encouraging both multinational as well as domestic companies to manufacture their products within the country. Led by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, the initiative aims to raise the contribution of the manufacturing sector to 25% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by the year 2025 from its current 16%. Make in India has introduced multiple new initiatives, promoting foreign direct investment, implementing intellectual property rights and developing the manufacturing sector.

It targets 25 sectors of the economy which range from automobile to Information Technology (IT), Business Process Management (BPM)&Pharmaceuticals. It also seeks to facilitate job creation, foster innovation, enhance skill development and protect intellectual property. The logo of ‘Make in India’ – a lion made of gear wheels – itself reflects the integral role of manufacturing in government’s vision and national development.  Be a part of Make in India CMS has initiated a concept called Pharma Skill Division and established skill training centres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as per the guidelines of Sector skill Council ,Govt of India.

Now CMS actively participating in Pharmaceutical Skill Development programmes supported by Various Bodies like Govt .of Andhra Pradesh, Govt.of Telangana & CSR Activities from various industry Partners.

Apart from the above initiatives, CMS is continuously engaged with rural and urban youth of different educational intuitions and colleges to make the candidate suitable and meet the industry current requirements by enhancing the skills of each individual.

CMS is now affiliated and accredited by Life Sciences Sector skill Development council LSSSDC as a Training provider for all its courses.
